3 April...A night of experimental music
Just a quick reminder about our next show on the 3rd of April at Cafe Arc in Pretoria. This will be our first show in Pretoria for 2009, so come have a couple of beers with us. Entrance will only be R20.The Ocean Doesn't Want Me will be joined by The Watermark High & A Skyline On Fire(C.F from TODWM and Werner from Chaos Theory). This should be interesting seeing that the three bands performing will consist of only five people in total and I've heard a rumour that there will be a big band performance of sorts as a grand finale. Sounds intriguing...
The Ocean Doesn't Want Me album launch... 29/11/2008
The innovative Pretoria-based rock band, The Ocean Doesn't Want Me, will be releasing their debut album "which I hope to live for" on 13 December 2008. The much anticipated release will be launched at Cafe Arc in Pretoria and is sure to cause more than the odd stutter amongst avid rock fans.
Supporting them will be Andre van der Walt and The Watermark High. The evening will also feature an art exhibition where artists will be displaying their interpretations of "the ocean doesn't want me" and "which I hope to live for".
Fire and Ice... 23/10/2007
Our last show was rather enjoyable and many thanks goes out to all involved, especially ManINsuiT who came for a visit all the way from Cape Town. It was a pleasure working with you guys! Moving on, we have two killer shows coming up, both at Cafe Arc. On 23 November we’ll be in the presence of another Cape Town band, The Doppler Effect. Andre van der Walt and Chaos Theory will be joining them on stage. On 30 November Albinobeach, Isochronous and The Ocean Doesn’t Want Me will be making waves in an evening of epic proportions. So the hustle and bustle of Metal Farm is something of the past and we would like to thank everyone who came out, we had a blast! But expect no respite as we await Cape Town giants ManINsuiT’s excursion to Gauteng in mid-October. The guys will be heading to Pretoria on the 12th to play at Cafe Arc with Andre van der Walt, The Ocean Doesn’t Want Me and Chaos Theory(under the watchful eye of MK89 we’ve been told) and then alongside Blind Guardian at the Nightfall festival the next day. Suit up people, suit up...

For those of you who have joined us this past year in anticipation of the long awaited debut album from Underbelly, be at rest! Or rather loose it, because it’s finally here, and may I just say apart from their music which we all know, that the production on this album is something far more than the ordinary.“For a Cynical Science” will be released in Pretoria on 13 July at Zanzibar in Fearie Glen with Namuh as support act & 14 July at Thrashers Skate Park joined by The Ocean Doesn’t Want Me, Scenery, Foco and Ochams Razor. There will be loads of giveaways including a Jackson guitar at both shows. For all you Jo’burg fans who are too lazy to come to Pretoria, you can catch them on 27 July at Roxy’s with Pestroy & Cape Town based Hog Hoggidy Hog.
Seasick... 03/05/2007
The shattered water made a misty din.
Great waves looked over others coming in,
And thought of doing something to the shore
That water never did to land before...From "Once by the Ocean" by Robert Frost

A sad state of affairs... 04/04/2007
We are very sorry to inform you that our event on 14 April has been canceled to to the untimely sale of Nile Crocodile. It would have been nice if they let us know a little earlier-maybe we could have saved all the money spent on advertising. But that is life...supposedly. Please tell anyone that might have been interested in attending that the event is no more. Thank you and sorry.
Good news comes in pairs... 29/03/2007
Let's start off by start by saying that ManInsuiT(all the way from Cape Town) and Andre vd Walt have joined the bill for 14 April to complete a line-up that seems pretty alluring for a random Saturday evening. Then some more (good) news regarding Andre vd Walt. They've found a new bassist and will be recording their debut EP starting next week (watch out for a cameo by CF). They'll also be touring Cape Town from 26-28 April so if you're in the area, make a plan to see them!
Looking ahead... 08/03/2007
Our next event will be on the 14th of April at Nile Crocodile. This will be our first Nile show of the year- and we're stoked about that, seeing that the club's future was very much in doubt at the end of last year. Luckily that's all been put to bed now and we're quite exited about our next little venture. Chaos Theory (vote for them on MyNoise B.O.T.B here) will be joined by two of Jo'burg's most exiting heavy acts, Insek and Suicide Kings. Needless to say, we hope we see you there...
Another lowrider waves goodbye... 06/02/2007
So Friday (9 Feb) will see the last performance of Andre van der Walt with bassist Herman Verwey...This seems disturbingly familiar... Herman will be leaving AVDW due to personal commitments of a rather important nature. It's a sad thing, but that's how life supposedly goes. So we hope to see you at Nile Crocodile for some really great music, a goodbye and who knows what else...
Here's to 2007
A happy and prosperous new year to all! Hope you enjoyed the break and recharged sufficiently for the onslaught that will come this year. Speaking of which- our first show for 2007 will be taking place on 17 February at Zanzibar in Pretoria and will feature Chaos Theory and Convalescent. Hope to see you there...
Forever Will Burn album release 08/12/2006
Hey everyone! Just a reminder that Forever Will Burn's debut album is being officially released today (8 December). And yes, it is a worldwide release-so metal lovers all over the world will be able to dig into it. The band will be launching the album on 16 December in Cape Town (a massive event from what we've heard- check out the flyer), so if you're in the vicinity, don't be shy.
The ocean doesn't want me 27/11/2006
Let's start off by thanking everyone who were at Nile Crocodile on Saturday evening. Your contribution towards one of the most enjoyable evenings we've ever experienced will forever be appreciated. Many thanks to Chaos Theory and Andre van der Walt- you guys were amazing! As for Hush (known as 'THE OCEAN DOESN'T WANT ME' from now on) and especially Casper- the swan song was perfect and great prospects await you- of that we are sure. Thank you...
Zoology Studio! 12/11/2006
So the horse and the fox have arrived and they are ready to give a so very needed boost to what some call design. We would like to welcome our friends from Zoology Studio to the fray. They (in their previous singular states) have been responsible for the majority of our designs up to date and we seriously suggest you pay them a visit at www.zoology.co.za should you wish to learn more...

Forever Will Burn 28/10/2006
We are pleased to announce that as of this week (October's last) that we have taken over the official management duty of Forever Will Burn- a Cape Town based metalcore band. They have supported bands like Sepultura, Entombed, Soulfly and Most Precious Blood on their S.A tours. FWB will be releasing their highly anticipated debut album on December 8th, so be on the lookout for that! Much hard work ahead, catch you all later.
25 November 21/10/2006
The end of the year is in our vicinity and with endings come change but also new beginnings. As most of you know by now, Casper will be leaving Hush at the end of the year due to a too-good-to-refuse opportunity presented abroad. The Hush boys though it to be an opportune time to change their name to something a little less exploited. On 25 November a farewell gig for Casper will be held at Nile Crocodile in Pretoria. Andre vd Walt & Chaos Theory will join in on the swan song and help strangle a title of bygone days. So do join us for what promises to be an unforgettable evening of underground bliss.
